Go to SiteSettings/MyAlertsOnThisSite to add alerts.
- Yes, you must add one at a time! (Sorry)
- No, you cannot turn alerts on for your contributors-- they must do so themselves. However--- you can (as an Administrator) see who has turned alerts on!
Go to -------SiteSettings/GoToSiteAdministration/ManageUserAlerts | | | | It really helps if you have picture on your site-- for site recognition purposes. Put it in the Document Library titled "Infrastructure_Items_used_on_this_site_and_child_sites".
- Go to this Doc Lib (it is hidden-- find it in DocumentsAndLists)
- Upload the jpeg
- Snag the URL of the image.
- Open the Image Web Part and paste the URL
- Done

- Go to the "Contacts" list in left side Quick Launch pane and Import your team (do not type!).

- Click the doc lib
- Click ModifySettingsAndColumns, on bottom left
- Click ChangeGeneralSettings

| | | | If you choose to keep the "Site Navigator" WebPart on your site, you need to tell it where to land:
- Click the down arrow of the WebPart
- Choose ModifySharedWebPart
- Adjust the "Navigation Anchor" by pasting the appropriate url
